5.3 ATU Referee Acknowledgement & Acceptance

If you are interested in serving as a referee at an ATU event, you must complete the online registration form here. By doing so, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by ATU's rules, regulations, and code of conduct for referees. You also certify that you are at least 16 years old and hold a minimum rank of 1st Dan Black Belt or higher.

Your role as an ATU referee is contingent upon your adherence to these guidelines. Any violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from officiating duties.

Additionally, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with officiating and voluntarily assume full responsibility for your participation. By serving as a referee, you release ATU, its officials, organizers, and affiliates from any liability related to your role. If you have any questions about serving as an ATU referee, please contact us.

5.4 ATU Volunteer Acknowledgement & Consent

Individuals interested in volunteering at an ATU event must complete the official volunteer registration form. By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the expectations, responsibilities, and policies related to volunteer service as outlined by ATU here.

Volunteers must be at least 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 12 must receive written approval from the Organizing Committee and be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also volunteering (not necessarily in the same role or area).

Volunteer roles vary depending on the needs of each event and may include tasks related to event setup, coordination, guest support, or operational logistics. ATU reserves the right to assign or reassign volunteer duties, limit participation, or revoke volunteer status at its discretion.

By choosing to serve as a volunteer, you understand that participation is voluntary and that you assume all risks associated with your role. You agree to release and hold harmless ATU, its directors, staff, event organizers, and venue partners from any liability related to injuries, losses, or damages that may occur during your volunteer service.

Please note that volunteers may be photographed or recorded during the event. By volunteering, you grant ATU permission to use your image, voice, or likeness for marketing and promotional purposes, as outlined in Section 5.2.

If you have questions about volunteering or need special accommodations, please please contact ATU prior to the event.

6. Donations & Refund Policy

As a non-profit organization, ATU accepts donations to support its mission. Donations are non-refundable, except in cases of processing errors. Event registration fees may be refundable based on specific event terms. Please contact us for details.
